VetPartners Member Spotlight: Sandy Weaver

Mar 23, 2021 at 5:07 pm

Today’s VetPartners Member Spotlight shines on Sandy Weaver, Program Director at the Center for Workplace Happiness. Sandy has been a member of VetPartners since 2019. Read on to learn more about Sandy.

How do you help veterinary professionals?

Veterinarians wear so many hats, and yet they’re passionate about one thing – helping animals. Sandy Weaver works with veterinarians and their staff to create radiantly resilient teams that work better together because they understand each other and themselves better. Using concepts from neuroplasticity, neurology and positive psychology, her thoughtful and thought-provoking programs promote positive change in veterinary teams.

Why do you do what you do?

Sandy’s avocation is dog sports and has been for all her adult life. She’s had great relationships with her veterinarians, so when the CDC report on veterinary suicide came out, she was determined to help stem the tide of veterinary suicide. Through work with veterinary teams and through her ground-breaking book, Happy Vet Happy Pet, Sandy is making a difference.

What pets do you have in your family?

When you meet Sandy, you might notice a little dog hair on her outfit – she shares life with a young Siberian Husky named Kacey. Kacey is the 14th Siberian to share a roof with Sandy – yes, Siberian Huskies are a true passion for her!
