Are you coming to the party—er—meeting? The VetPartners 2022 Mid-Year Meeting is just around the corner, and we want you there! Join us September 28–30 in beautiful Portland, Oregon, for three days of veterinary camaraderie! From the hot topics and latest trends in the business of veterinary medicine to best practices and lessons from the trenches, we’ll cover it all and have an unforgettable time.

Undecided about attending this year’s meeting? Read on for six reasons you won’t want to miss it.

#1: Network, network, network

Did we mention that you’ll have lots of opportunities to network at the VetPartners Mid-Year Meeting? OK, let’s be real—the whole “being social” thing has become exponentially more difficult over the past few years, and many of us are still feeling a little rusty in this department. Connection is incredibly important in our industry, and you’ll get to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones by simply having conversations with people who understand your unique experiences in the veterinary industry.

We heard how much fun everyone had at the recent AVMA convention, and we think VetPartners’ members will have just as much fun—maybe more?—at the VetPartners Mid-Year Meeting in Portland.

#2: Learn, learn, learn

We promise this isn’t your typical professional development. Here, you’ll get access to meaningful and timely educational resources you can take back to your business and use right away. And, you will take home more than knowledge. You’ll walk away inspired by big ideas to share and implement. Immerse yourself in learning something new from inspirational industry leaders and motivational colleagues.

Hot topics include:

  • The Millennial’s Ideal Offer Tierra Price, DVM, with liaison Monica Perry
  • Courageous Conversations in DEI — Peter Weinstein, DVM, MBA, and Phillip Nelson, DVM, PhD, with liaison Linda Markland

  • Where Have All The Vet Techs Gone? — Meghan Parks, RVT, with liaison Heather Kvitko-White

#3: Be a leader in the profession

The veterinary industry is changing, and you have the chance to help shape the future. At the VetPartners Mid-Year Meeting, you won’t only hear from speakers—you will also have your voice heard. There will be plenty of opportunities for collaborative discussion as you network and strategize ways to prepare for the future. You will talk about the subjects that matter, and leave feeling empowered and ready to make positive changes.

#4: Make that money, honey

Who doesn’t want to grow their business? At the VetPartners Mid-Year Meeting, you’ll learn creative ways to help your clients (and yourself!) become more profitable. Check out Dr. Karen Felsted’s two-part presentation, Profitability: Diving into Revenue and Profitability: Diving into Expenses. (Plus, all that networking with VetPartners members—old and new!—is bound to lead to some referrals and growth for your business!)

#5: Rediscover your passion for the industry

If you’ve ever come to a VetPartners meeting, you know how energizing they are. You may arrive feeling burned out and tired, but you’ll leave feeling inspired and excited about the future of our industry and the role you play in it. (OK, you might still feel a little tired thanks to late nights at the hotel bar…but we take no responsibility for those choices.)

#6: Let loose

Veterinary medicine can be a serious profession, and we are ready to serve up some serious fun! Give yourself the opportunity to unwind, relax, and take a break from the daily routine back home. Part of taking care of yourself in this demanding industry means having fun, and you will have plenty of opportunities to mingle, explore, and recharge at the VetPartners 2022 Mid-Year Meeting.
