The VetPartners 2019 Mid-Year Meeting is officially in the books, and this one will go down as a doozy (in more ways than one!).
The 2019 VetPartners Mid-Year Meeting by the numbers
I know what you’re thinking.
But wait, Sarah… you forgot to mention that other number. You know, the number of unfortunate people who ate the wrong thing.
Yes, I know. I purposely didn’t include that number because I’m trying to forget… (And, do we still not know what that was?)
The 2019 VetPartners Mid-Year Meeting messages from the president
Here are some thoughts from VetPartners President Nancy Dewitz:
“What a whirlwind Mid-Year Meeting! The Program Committee hit it out of the park with presentation selection this year. A huge thank you to Elizabeth for setting this all up and keeping us organized, and to the Program Committee for such a great job. There was so much positive energy and discussions around the topics. A few things stood out to me. First, the number of new members and their excitement. I heard comments like, ‘I was not sure how I would feel in this group, but I have been welcomed and feel like I belong,’ or, ‘I felt right at ease with the group, everyone was so nice.’ The networking events and table discussions were wonderful. The other item that stood out to me was the Technology SIG and the attendance at their presentations. The engagement and sharing was so uplifting. Then on to the committee and SIG meetings. WOW, I was blown away. It was the best attendance I have seen yet at this portion of the meeting. I had very positive feedback from many of the Chairs about the excitement of new members.”
If you attended the meeting, here are Nancy’s action items for you:
- If you joined a committee and aren’t sure if you have been added to the list for contact and information, reach out to Elizabeth at [email protected].
- Like the VetPartners Facebook page and join the VetPartners Networking Group on Facebook.
- Follow VetPartners on LinkedIn.
- Subscribe to the forums on the VetPartners website.
- Reach out to the people you met at the meeting. Don’t limit your communication to twice per year at the VetPartners meetings! Think of other members as an addition to your team when you are working with your clients. This brings so much value to your consulting.
- Start planning for the Annual Meeting, and think about how you’ll approach meeting new people. There are always new people to meet and new things to learn from people you already know.
