How do you help veterinary professionals?
My primary consulting activity is to provide practice valuation (appraisal) services to veterinarians who are buying or selling practices, or who are planning for the future. I also spend a lot of time helping veterinarians and managers understand and address the financial health of their practice.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
I am still an actively practicing veterinarian. I have been an associate veterinarian, a 50:50 partner and now I am the sole owner of an 8-doctor practice. I can relate to veterinarians who are looking to become practice owners or who want to transition out of practice ownership. I provide a “boots on the ground” perspective!
Why do you do what you do?
I really enjoy making complicated topics understandable. As a veterinarian, I translate the language of medicine to pet parents. As a consultant, I enjoy making business concepts understandable to veterinarians and managers, so they can be empowered to better manage the financial health of their practices.
What pets do you have in your family?
I currently have three cats and a geriatric mixed-breed dog.
