How do you help veterinary professionals?
I consult on all aspects of business and practice management. My primary focus is equine, but I work with all types of practices. My company, Inova Partners, employs a team of professionals who provide administrative support for veterinary practices throughout the country. Our services include Billing, Collections, Payroll, AP, AR, Managerial Accounting, Human Resources Management, Purchasing, IT support, and more.
What sets you apart from competitors?
Year of success managing veterinary practices. I don’t just consult. I am “in the game” serving as the CEO for two large and successful equine practices and two successful and growing companion-animal practices. In addition, my team and I have a long track record of helping practice owners to get their businesses off the ground or back on track.
Why do you do what you do?
Helping others is my calling. Veterinary practice management is my passion. I love animals, but veterinary practices do way more than simply care for animals. As small businesses, they provide jobs that support families. By assisting practices to grow and prosper, I get to help improve the lives of practice owners and their employees. And that’s what I’m all about!
How did you first get started in the industry?
In college, I worked at a mixed-animal practice. After graduation, my first job was working the graveyard shift for the Large Animal ICU at Texas A&M University’s CVM. I soon moved into management and eventually became the school’s Hospital Administrator. In 2005, a recruiter contacted me about managing an equine practice. We grew rapidly and that success lead to consulting.
